It is real simple....get rid of insurance...then prices would have to fall...an MRI in Japan is only $100 whereas here an MRI would be charged at maybe $1500....

because Insurance is nothing more than another form of bank, and the hospitals can WITHDRAW any amount at anytime; and this is the problem that the politicians choose to ignore.....

There is no reason a doctor should charge $600 for a visit that ended in writing a prescription.....PRICES are just too outrageous thus the need for INSURANCE.

I am saying get rid of healthcare insurance, and prices would have to come down.

That's my .05 ...now back to fishing..........who's going where this weekend....

Ya'll need to check your math on the 32 million. That's a whitehouse number. It actually includes illegal aliens - yes, we're gonna pick up the tab and people who are temporarily without due to job changes etc. The real number is more like 12 to 15 million. But let's work with 32. 32 represents about 10% of the US population. So 90% have it and you know fromt he polls that we're basically pretty happy with it. Now how many of the 32 are:

    1) Illegal?
    2) Insane and walking the streets?
    3) Drug users?
    4) Black market folks with plenty of money, but report none so they get gov't assistance ie drug runners and only in cash folks?
    5) Folks that are hard workers, but temporarily without who will soon be covered again, ie switching jobs, temporarily out of work, or kids in college and on their own, single and uncovered but will be married and covered in the next 1 to 2 years etc, etc, etc.

I've heard the "real" number is 15 million that actually want health insurance, but can't afford it. I'd bet the real number is closer to 4 to 6 backing out the above.

So, using my number and assuming a minimum type policy would be $500 a month, we could just flat out give insurance to those 7 million at a cost of $42 Billion a year without changing a thing. The cost would be $420 Billion over 10 years as opposed to the Trillions and Trillions this thing is gonna cost us.

And then the other thing. So, 32 million are about to have insurance for the first time eh? Ummm, where are the doctors, nurses and technicians that will attend to these folks gonna come from?

This ain't a chicken in every pot, this is chicken excrement in every pot.

Oh, and keeping it real folks.....

Yeah, I can't find anyone who supports it or likes it and really don't even run with folks that voted for this clown. But this is MS and a Concervative state. Matter of fact, most of the folks that post on C.C probably live in the same type states.

That being said and you trot off to say...CA, WA, NY, RI, CN, MA, or even some mid states like MI, and IL and you're gonna find just the opposite is true.

Like Mr. 2 post on the first page. Probably surrounded by liberal bleeding hearts and all his friends agree with him.

You just gotta make allowances for the fact that there are plenty of ignernt and insane and just plain old stewpit folks in this country.

Your mission is to educate them. Now go forth and register.

    I'm just saying.
