Default Thunder on Water Tournament Opportunity

A'ite, it's time for me to figure out what we gonna do.

Background - deal is I'm the treasurer for TOW and in this year's meeting I brought up the fact that I'd like to see TOW put on a Crappie T well, cause 1) I like tournaments, 2) we need some thunder of some sort on TOW and 3) I like tournaments. They liked the idea and basically said, you set it up and we'll kick in $500. Other than that, I've got no direction.

Well, sometime back I floated the idea and several suggested they'd be interested. Now I've gotta come up with some sort of format/rules/etc.

So, what do ya think I ought to do?

I've decided it'll be a one day tournament only on 6/12/10, but that's the only decision I've made.

Still don't know on the following, but I'd sure like to have y'alls input on what will attract the most number of boats.

    1) Single pole or multiple pole?

    2) 1 Fish Limit or 7 fish? - June so it's gonna be rough keeping fish alive.

    3) Payouts - Winner take all or pay down?

    4) Entry Fee - Free, small (say $25) or large (say $100)?

    5) Whatever else ya'll think we might need to discuss.

Here's the deal, I need to hurry up and decide all this within about a week, so I can get it all on the TOW website and into the advertising campaign. So get to talking.

Forgot to mention there's a decent shot at getting a pretty good sponsor in on this as well, so I might have some decent prizes or additional cash to work with.

Why make it where fish have to be alive? The COE permit states you must make an attempt to release the fish alive. There is no penalty for dead fish. It will be near impossible to keep 7 fish alive in June even if you have a good O2 system.
