Why make it where fish have to be alive? The COE permit states you must make an attempt to release the fish alive. There is no penalty for dead fish. It will be near impossible to keep 7 fish alive in June even if you have a good O2 system.

I have often wondered about this also.

Yea no need for live fish....just have a livewell check before.

Good point, I'm gonna make that part of the rules silent as to imply dead fish OK without stating so. There will be a livewell check prior to blast off. This is kind of a sticking point with both the COE and the anglers though. Some insist on live fish, some could care less. However, rules will not penalize for dead fish.

BTW, anybody want to volunteer to help me with this the day of? The pay stinks, but the glory is worth it.

The rule should read "all live fish will be released and all dead ones donated to Bigger"!!

I like to eat the dead ones myself, tried the live ones once and I could feel that sucker swimming for 2 days

Hope Bigger hasnt gotten his hopes up about gettin those dead ones. By the way WB who is gonna be handlin the tourney as far as collectin , weighin and payin?
