I would suggest a trolling plate on your big motor rather than try ing to pull a drift sock. The boat can be hard to control with the sock dragging behind and most socks dont float when the rope breaks or comes loose. For confirmation on this drop Tlow a line and he can fill you in.

socks are cheap either. I'll stick with my buckets over all of them. I had the plate on my other boat and lost 4 or 5 MPH top end and some out of the hole torque

You could do like I did and put a kicker motor on there it works great for cranks and don't use near as much gas
