Default The whole motor was shaking

not just a little but not rocking the boat shaking either. I was gonna take the prop off and see if I saw anything wrong with that area this evening

Glad to know I'm not the only one around here that will beg for info and then be man enough to admit it.

Begging can be very manly if done in the right way. LOL.

Hehehehe, at's right DD, just ignore it, I'm sure it'll work itself out before long. Bwahahahahaha. I'm gonna start calling you TT for Tow Truck, cause you're just one maintenance schedule missed from needing one at all times.

Shuttering....as in loosing power or vibrating as in the cylinders rattling against the top of the head?

If you're loosing power kind of like a hicup. Might want to pull the prop and check your hub. Don't think you've got a press in on that motor, but if so, it could be slipping and will need to be re-pressed.

Look here TT, you start looking that motor over tonight and don't stop until you know what's wrong. If it goes pop, you're gonna be bumming rides from me for a long time. I don't think I could take it. Come to think of it, I don't think you could neither.

Here's a hint - outboards aren't supposed to rock or shake.

Looks like you guys are gonna have it all by yo selfs this weekend. Torch is offficially not gonna be goin fishin till after duck season is over, And I got loaded up with jobs today which will take the rest of this week and most of next week to get through with. One way to look at it is there will be more money to spend on fishin after the rush at these huntin camps is over.

Sounds almost like the prop blowing out DD. Mine'll do that if I turn very
sharp with it trimmed, especially if theres pretty good waves. If not
hammering it so hard or trimming as quick fixes it, it's a good bet.
    You running aluminum prop?

Sounds an awful lot like you've got a bad hub on your prop. Fairly cheap fix. The Prop Shop will fix you up in no time if that's the case.

Default If thats the case, it should be OK to take out this weekend.

I'm not going far at all though. Head up to 43 and troll around the welfare hole or ease over to another spot where I don;t have to go far. Mainly just testing it out and see if it was just a fluke that it happened. I MAY have hit something while I was at Chotard when we headed up there. I did check the prop when we pulled the boat out for slack and there wasn't any slack it it when I tugged on it though
