Found out about 3 weeks ago that I had some sort of problem with my sewer that would require me to dig it up. I got someone to run a camera for me. The problem was found right where the garage meets the driveway. In this time we have been unable to shower, wash dishes, or do laundry. Pretty much anything more than washing our hands or flushing the toilet would cause water to back up in the basement floor.
Today with the help of my good friends and future father in law we were able to fix it. It was my first time using a lot of these tools such as jack hammer, concrete saw, big auger, and some giant metal wheel thing they called a “drain snake” that thing was a beast. I am so sore. But we were finally able to get it done. Ended up digging it up, busting a piece of pipe, angering it, snaking it, and then used the torpedo to blow the clog out. Then had to fix the pipe we broke to get to the clog. Then had to create a bandaid out of pvc and rubber boots to put it all back together. Then, we made a trap door to cover the hole. Big big long day. But very rewarding when I got to take my first shower at home in over 3 weeks. I’m going to sleep good tonight lol
