Full of alcohol I was so I ripped the unit out of the wall. After the smoke dissipated and I drank some more I decided to reinstall the smoke detector. There were two exposed wires that I grabbed ahold of not once but twice and got thrown off the stool by 220v. Ahhh I said to myself the fuse panel. I went and flipped it off and then checked the wires, no electricity. I guess I figured that wouldn’t work cause the smoke detector would work when I got it hooked up. I went back and turned the breaker back on and proceeded to grab the wires again. 3rd time was the charm, I quit and a few days later called housing to come fix it. I think I burned out some brain cells that day!
