In a previous life I worked in food service and restaurants. I know how things work and how the public can be unreasonable. I don't think I'm being unreasonable by saying I will no longer patronize two establishments in our town. Both use fast service as a part of their appeal to prospective customers, Little fastfood Pizza place and Sub sandwich place.
I sat in line for 20 minutes earlier in the week at Sub sandwich place while several cars behind me left before even ordering. Had I known it was going to be that long, I would have left also. I asked the clerk why it took so long and I just got a shrug.
A few minutes ago, I pulled into Little pizza place and asked what pizzas they had ready. The clerk told me he would have my choice done in 5 minutes. I paid and was asked to pull forward. Bad Move on my part. I should have sat at the window for my food. 16 minutes later (I had the order time stamped on my receipt), I was signaled to pull back around the building to the window due to a heavy rainstorm. I did and had to wait a few more minutes before getting my food. I told the clerk to be sure to tell his manager (who was standing right behind him) that I would never be back to their store. Now I'm pizzed and really don't even want to eat the food I waited so long for.
I understand things don't always work as planned but I'm starting to see a trend in this country that the customer doesn't matter and bad service is the norm. I don't want to blame it all on the teens who choose to work there and I'm proud there still are some who see work as a positive rather than sitting in Mommie's basement tapping on their cell phone. I just feel like I have no recourse with these places and my complaint will probably be used as toilet paper but I'm sending one anyway.
Cold pizza awaits.
Now, the Crazy Bites taste like they were sprinkled with a heavy dose of garlic. The trash can awaits.
