I would have gone home and told my wife to fix me something good to eat and that I was in hurry.

In a previous life I worked in food service and restaurants. I know how things work and how the public can be unreasonable. I don't think I'm being unreasonable by saying I will no longer patronize two establishments in our town. Both use fast service as a part of their appeal to prospective customers, Little fastfood Pizza place and Sub sandwich place.
I sat in line for 20 minutes earlier in the week at Sub sandwich place while several cars behind me left before even ordering. Had I known it was going to be that long, I would have left also. I asked the clerk why it took so long and I just got a shrug.
A few minutes ago, I pulled into Little pizza place and asked what pizzas they had ready. The clerk told me he would have my choice done in 5 minutes. I paid and was asked to pull forward. Bad Move on my part. I should have sat at the window for my food. 16 minutes later (I had the order time stamped on my receipt), I was signaled to pull back around the building to the window due to a heavy rainstorm. I did and had to wait a few more minutes before getting my food. I told the clerk to be sure to tell his manager (who was standing right behind him) that I would never be back to their store. Now I'm pizzed and really don't even want to eat the food I waited so long for.
I understand things don't always work as planned but I'm starting to see a trend in this country that the customer doesn't matter and bad service is the norm. I don't want to blame it all on the teens who choose to work there and I'm proud there still are some who see work as a positive rather than sitting in Mommie's basement tapping on their cell phone. I just feel like I have no recourse with these places and my complaint will probably be used as toilet paper but I'm sending one anyway.
Cold pizza awaits.
Now, the Crazy Bites taste like they were sprinkled with a heavy dose of garlic. The trash can awaits.

I edited out the actual names of the establishments because I don't need any of their corporate ambulance chasers sending me any emails. Just trying to protect the site. There are other sites that live for sharing comments like that but I ain't big enough to afford my own ambulance chaser counterparts. Pm Doug directly if anyone wants to know the actual company names. Thanks for understanding.
Oh, I got my own story like this to share. I went to a fast food place to get some chicken. Chicken is what their specialty was. In fact it's in their name. Anyway, after I ordered they said we are out of that. So I ordered their other type of chicken, and they said we're out of that. So I said do you have any chicken at all and they said no, they were out! Mind you its not right before closing. This is in the middle of the day. So ok, what can you make up fast, they said chicken strips or something like that. I said ok, I'll wait. 20 minutes later I got my chicken parts and an apology and an extra biscuit they told me they threw in for my patience. I hate their biscuits, and left the place feeling just like Doug. I won't be going back there thats for sure. I can't believe a chicken place had absolutely no chicken ready!
I feel your pain. My wife and I stopped at a fast food "taco joint" last nite, we were going to go into the place and eat, well the doors were locked. The sign on the door said the lobby was open till 10 or so and the drive through was open till 12, but for some reason the doors were locked at 8. So we go to the drive through with several other cars and sat there for 10 or so minutes and not the first car moved. I dunno whats going on with these places but they need to get there act together. We have another burger place in town that will just tell you there system is down or they are out of whatever you order haha just to keep from working.
I have stopped using the ones that make me order by #s. It's hard to find one that you can order a cheeseburger, large fry,
and large coke. Had a customer that never ate out. We invited him to eat lunch with us so he tagged along. We went to a
Mexican place and he didn't recognize any thing on the menu. So to not look lost he just ordered a #2. No matter where we
took him to eat after that, he would always order a #2. Often when got to a place we were eating we would ask him, what are
you going to order Mr. Pete, a #2. He and the rest of us would all laugh. He's gone now. I miss that old man.
Tell'em I'll be there.
Can't recall when I went to a fast food restaurant - Burger King, McDonald's, pizza places, etc. When we do go into a restaurant at some place, I do look at the menu and see what they have. Then I put it away, and say I want this and that. Works every time - get what you want.
