I have lived in the same county in East TN my entire life, which is 57 years. This past week, one of our police officers was answering a domestic disturbance call. As it turns out, this was an ambush situation, and a brave hero lost his life in the line of duty. This morning, he was transported to his final resting place. As I took the route that he would soon travel, the pictures below represent the respect our small mountain community wished to show this hero. Over the past few days, officers from several surrounding areas have helped patrol, as the local officers dealt with this huge heartbreak. Today, I saw countless cruisers from neighboring counties, cities, etc., who turned out to show respect for this brave soul. RIP officer Moats. At his funeral he was issued his final call, with the words "We will take it from here."

Please feel free to move if I should have posted elsewhere.
