    Prayer Request Bored!!!

In one week I will have a knee replaced. that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that I will be laid up for about a month. What the heck am I going to do for a month?

Either I have projects, or I post a bunch of stupid stuff on Crappie.com. I prefer the first option. What cha got?

I had a knee replaced in May. You're not gonna feel much like working on projects for a while. Rehabbing your knee will be your main project for a month. Be diligent about your therapy. I was able to get a deal from Comcast for free HBO for 3 months as a special offer trial. I got to watch a few series that I'd never seen. I did change all my line on my reels, re-organize my tackle boxes, etc in the meantime. Good luck with your surgery and therapy.

First off, I hope the surgery goes well. Second, do the best you possibly can with the rehab program, it is a large factor in positive outcomes (I haven't had the surgery, but used to work for a company that made the parts). As far as projects go, when I was house bound after bypass surgery, I spent some time tying flies for trout fishing. Certainly would work with crappie jigs. Get a fly vise, some jig heads, some chennile, some maribou, and thread, and tie you up some sizes and color combinations different than you can easily buy.

After my wife had her knees replaced, she spent 14 days in a rehab hospital and when she came home, she was ready to roll. Yes, she took it easy and ran my legs
off but was ready for the second knee replacement and she did great and I was used to what she put me through. Best thing she ever done for both of us. She was
very bow legged prior to replacement, but now she stands tall at 5'. I ask the surgeon to add 3" to the replacements, but after he quit laughing he said no. Some things
just don't stretch that much. She lettered 4 years in high school and was a tiger on the basketball court. Now she's just a tiger. Good luck to you and the rehab will
determine your future on your new knees. No pain, no gain is what my wife said. This is going to be tougher on your wife than on you, and that's my story.
