Well, I`m certain he has REALLY hurt the feelings of all the black and/ or gay gun toting fans and viewers of "Duck Dynasty"; let see that`s ALL 15 or so of them ? As far as saying he never once saw ANY discrimination pre Civil Rights era, that is explained because he lived where "Mr Rodgers" came from, and everything was just peace and love, right? It`s right next to Mayberry RFD...too bad he never traveled too far from home. If he had, then doubt he could have HONESTLY said that...btw, just out of curiousity, exactly how many blacks or minorities do you ever see ANYWHERE on that show even in the BACKGROUND ? Can easily understand it`s subconscious probable `appeal` to some viewers with far end `right wing` leanings...personally think it`s a bit much, kinda like WWE (which admittedly is `choreographed`) or "The Real Housewives of Where Ever" (which admittedly is `choreographed`, plus the majority of them are now divorced, they really should change the show`s name to be socially and politically `correct`...) I can easily believe people `see` what they WANT to and IGNORE even the most obvious things they don`t want to...an idyllic and prosperous Southern town with strong WASP values, guns everywhere and wealth and not a single minority within 500 hundred miles...`reality` TV.

He said they were Godly and Happy. He was poor, they were poor, everyone around them were poor, but they believed in God and were Happy, Happy, Happy. Just because he said he did not see it, didn't mean he didn't know it was happening somewhere, just not where he was. I personally have never seen anyone Raped or Murdered, but that doesn't mean I think it does not happen.

Seems to me that is pretty much human nature, not just the "left". In fact, I have seen that same thing on here when the subject is something as simple as crappie fishing. They did this to Phil. What does that say of their opinion of the Robertson's audience? They don't Give a crap about the Audience. We are being put in our place too. A&E does not care about us. We need to just fall in line, keep opening up our pocket books and spending money on Duck Dynasty Merchandise that the Robertsons get very little if anything off of and keep our mouths shut about religion, Morals, and family values. They don't want any parts of that but they sure don't mind taking the money. They made $400,000,000 of of that Family last year. They knew what they had in Phil Robertson when they signed them on. Those idiots didn't realize that You can't change a Man like Phil Robertson. He has strong Character and has already made more money than He will ever spend. Really, how can they hurt him by firing him. A Man that is happiest in a Duck blind more than anything, and I mean ANYTHING won't give a crap about what they do to him. They made A&E and when they move to another network, A&E will dry right up. I hope they paid attention to some of the lessons on catching food from the wild to survive on cause the folks at A&E might just have to do it. Because they will starve to death on that other crap they are showing on there.CF

Read Phil's book. You apparently haven't. The reply Phil gave to all this came from Phil. That is the type of person He is. These folks are not racist and don't agree with homosexuality. Thats all. They don't consider themselves better than anyone. If You don't believe that then Google "I am Second". Watch the video. Reed Robertson got like that, lost all his friends because of it and almost killed himself. He told the Story. Phil is not a perfect man nor are the rest of them. They learned that through Christ and Family is true strength. That is where they found their's. That is why the family will not do the show without Phil. Notice no one is asking the rest of the family if they agree with what Phil said. They would have to kick them all off. They did not want to get into the politics of all this. Anyone that has ever seen old You Tube videos of Phil or any of the Robertsons making speeches, knew at some point this kind of thing would happen. They talk about three things most of the time in their speeches. God, killing Ducks and Acting decent. If read what He said about Blacks and did not see where it was offensive at all. He was harder of the Gays but also said in his response he would treat them with respect as he would anyone. He just does not agree with them.

Homosexuals may get equal treatment under the law but they never will be able to force people to think it is right when one's religion says it is not right and that person has a strong faith in that religion. That is why gays stick it in everyone's face on their Gay parades and Gay pride days. They won't ever convince the majority that what they are is fine. they may get it though law but it will take more than law to change minds when they go out in public and act like they do. Keep it in the bedroom like everyone else. That attitude Offends ME and millions of others that think like me BUT that is OK. We are supposed to just take it because we are so called old thinking or backward thinking when to me being queer is as backward thinking as You can get.
