You know that kinda took me by surprise too. Costas said he did not ofter agree with him but on this he did. I suspect that is the reason Costas and NBC jumped on it; because of who wrote it.

PEOPLE kill PEOPLE, whether with a weapon or with their bare hands. EXECUTING murderers and other violent criminals is the ONLY 100% GUARENTEED "cure" for them. An exectuted criminal will NEVER be a "repeat' offender again, and in many countries they simply do NOT tolerate allowing violent criminals to languish in prison awaiting their freedom at public expense so someday they can go back out into society and commit the same kind of crime. Convict them, allow their appeal and within 5 yrs it`s DYING time...it DOES have a deterent effect !
