Gun Control in the NFL???

Anybody watching the Sunday night NFL game. I can not believe what I just heard. After eulogizing the death of the Chiefs player who killed his wife and then himself, Bob Costas went on to say how he and NBC agreed with what a news columnist wrote. Basically he attributed the players death to the gun culture in the US and that he would not have committed those acts if he had not possessed a handgun. His view if that if no one had hand guns these things would not happen.
I guess if he had used a baseball bat or kitchen knife we would ban those???

I just turned it on to watch and heard that. Blamed the gun, not the man. Rediculous. NBC cannot count me among their viewers any longer. I know you can't cure stupid but at least I don't have to put up with it on MY tv. I'm sure that Mr. Costas believes that the reason is the weapon. But Mr. Costas, if someone wants you dead they will find a way to do it. Please be realistic and put the blame where it belongs. The sick individual that held the gun.
