What is a fair gun fight!!!! I was attending a concealed weapon class with some Ret- state troopers giving the class. We were seated on the front row.The officer was going to show the crowd how he could disarm me with a weapon in my hand. The Weapon was a( dummy) with no firing pin. He stood within arms length and said point the weapon at me and i will show the crowd how it is done disarming you . I pointed the weapon at the officer and before he could disarm me. I pulled the trigger(dummy weapon). The weapon snapped the officer went backwards in disbelief.I said in a real gun fight we are not going to count to three and say go." Their is no such thing as a" fair Gun fight!!!!. Thats the problem now!!!! folks they don,t understand self defense!!! You take him out before he gets you. We hope and pray it never comes down to him or me!!!!

Yep! You got to stay ready so you don't have to get ready. If he's ready and you ain't, your in trouble. Hope for a distraction in your
    favor.

Would Zimmerman have confronted Martin if he wasn't packing? I'd say he would have not made his presense known to Martin, but would have followed him in privy. When you are packing, one can afford to be a little more open. Sure, he did not know Martin was packing. I'm not saying Zimmerman is wrong here, I'm saying I think it could have been avoided.

I don't think I could convict Zimmerman if I were on the Jury. I know I could have taken more of an azz whipping than he took before busting a cap on someone.
Your overlooking the most important detail: When he called in to report Martin in the area the dispatcher told him not to get out of his car that the police was on the way and they would handle it. When he got out of his car, he became the aggressor. That fact along takes away any stupid law. (stand your ground). Also he wasn't to be carrying a weapon when he was on patrol for the neighborhood watch. EB

Why would he not carry a gun on patrol, he has a legal right to do so. He was already out of the car in persuit and was told to stop. He said he stopped and Martin confronted him on his way back to the car.

If Martin had a cell phone, why didn't he call the police stating some is following him? This makes Martin the agressor. We will never know the truth....no witnesses.....Zimmerman should walk. He is a dumbazz for allowing it to get this far. Now look at his dumbbutt, I beat he wishes he could roll back time.

We need stand your ground laws...for mainly these reasons....let say Beave is walking down the street and confronted, I have seen pictures of you, you couldn't bust a grape, you can't fight, so you better wave a gun and hope the sucker leaves. Some are just to old to fight.
A young man walking down the street with his two babies...see where I'm going with this...yeah,we need stand your ground laws.....the best weapon we have is our brains...someone said that in here...if you use it, everybody goes home

Unfortunately he chose NOT to do as the dispatcher TOLD him to do. A Dispatcher IS NOT allowed to tell you to do anything ILLEGAL, but they CAN certainly try to keep YOU from doing anything ILLEGAL. As the agressor, at best, he`ll likely do time for 2cnd degree and become "Bubba`s" new girlfriend. Bet he wishes NOW he`d of passed on the armed vigilantee crap.

My Mother was setting on their back porch watched a man go into her neighbors back door. The neighbor was at work this was 9:00 am in broad daylight. She called the neighbors father that lived up the street two houses away. The neighbors father wnet into the house to find his sons guns and computer missing.Called 911 my father returned home just in time to see the man get in a car.Still calling 911 haven't arrived yet this is 10:00 am still no police they follow the car knowing they have stolen guns they follow them still calling 911.The robbers pull on to a dead in street. My father a the neighbors dad block the car the police and now a state trooper arrive My father has a 22 rifle not pointing at anyone but for defense. The police arrest my father for having a weapon blocking the robbers. The robbers had broken out of jail they had been looking for them.Took my father to court. What wrong with this picture!!! The robbers broke into another house the next week!!!!!

Curious?? Are you basing this statement after reading the filed police reports in person or after watching or reading what the media has scrambled?? Amazing to me that people that live hundreds of miles away can pass judgement on something based off media reporting. I live about 10 miles from the site of the shooting and still can not figure out exactly what happened. There are too many stories and different scenarios playing out. And that is the first I have heard he called 911 from inside his car.
Like I said before re read rule B
And I am not dis agreeing with the fact he was an idiot. But I will let our disfunctional Judicial system play out, it is still better than any other countries system.
