Default My Stomping grounds getting stomped

The Morehead City area is getting pounded right now - the pier I was going to have a tournament on next Tuesday has just had 1/2 of it washed away
it does not appear to be no where near as bad as the Gulf States but it is going so slow and lots of businesses are already flooded - my in-laws developement has some homes already flooded as well that are close to the water - My mother is safe in Sanford,NC with a friend but had to leave her car on the island so I do not if her car or trailer will survive or not but at least she is safe
with my mind on crappie and crappie on my mind -
and if ya'll see Goober later tellem I said duh huh - he'll know what ya mean!!!!!!!!

I'm glad your mother is in Sanford (that's where I live). My father is on the Pamlico Sound, but is on high ground. He has about a 20 foot bank in front of his house. The rest of the neighborhood will move all thier boats and cars and stuff up to his house, hook up the RV and have a good old block style party while praying that thier piers don't get washed away.
Lets hope Ophelia quits messing with us soon!

    Default Hope all's well

I worked in Moncure(our company has a plant there) at a chemical plant. Made some good friends there and if you or your family needs something, please let me know and I'll get in touch with some of them folks and get them to help you out. They are good people and would be willing to help. If the worst that happens there is that you miss out on a fishing trip, then I believe you'll be OK. Either way we'll be praying for you and ready to get you some help. I believe some of them boys have some rent houses there.

Well the lord has truly blessed my family - the storm hit the Salter Path Area worst of all with mainly flooding - but my mothers car was spared as well as her trailer - water got in her storage building - the water seem to have swirled around the area she lives in and less than 500 yards away there was 2 trailers in the Bouge Sound this morning - just up the street a popular restaurant was just about destroyed and the piers and boat docks from the sound are up on the street rather than in the water - my in-laws made it through alright but a neighbors house burned to the ground from broken powerlines and the fire department could not get to the house because of the roads were flooded and not passable - my boat has a few leaves in it but it survived just fine as well - there is still no power on the island but my in-laws have power and all is well in their neighborhood - thanks for your prayers looks like they were answered -

Looks like all is well - father-in-law checked on everything today - some folks are going to clean out fridge and freezer today so the fish and shrimp dont knock our heads off when we get there - hopefully the power will be back on soon - I am going down Sunday I think to check on things for my Mom - thanks again for your offer of assistance but it looks like we are going to be okay - much better than a lot of other folks
    Thanks Again

Hey King , I'm gonna be in the area this weekend too.I got a yard to clean up for the in-laws but it dont look too bad. What you think the fish will be doing???I figure it will be all messed up but the ocean's a funny thing. It always seems like feast or famine.
