We must be a day behind y'all on the weather. It is 75 here today and high tomorrow supposed to be 45. It was cold part of last week, and now 75! Crazy weather we are having.

Started on the model, not for kids to be sure. Like I said before, not used to working on small stuff. Am enjoying though while listening to Christmas music on the radio, the television is a zero during the day. Cut the pieces for the stabilizer and rudder first for practice. Glued tight, sanded lightly, then applied the silk span. Worked on those pieces some more until I was satisfied. Took me a while for the little I got done:
It's fun to look at the detail in the plans.

Old man winter has us here in Michigan in a strangle hold. Got up to 12 today with a wind chill around 0. I fired up the heater in the garage and started getting my ice fishing gear ready, got the shanty out of the rafters, charged the battery on the electronics and got the short rods ready. Heat wave coming later this week, might even hit 40 on Christmas.

I know what you mean up there. Lived in Kalkaska, Mt. Pleasant, then Sue Saint Marie Canada for close to three years. I've lived in lots of places, been around. The Winters were horrendous for me, couldn't stand it being from West Texas. Beautiful during the summer and early Fall, but the other nine months........ My colleagues went ice fishing on the days off, not me. Worked in my shop. I likes being warm. Not into being on ice while fishing, nor being cold. I do like pictures though of folks doing it though.

I envy you folks in the south, I worked in Florida one summer......hot as all get out that year (1983) couldn't wait to get back nawth. Now that I'm older I can't wait till my wife retires in 5 years so we can be snowbirds and spend winters where you don't have -30 in February. Louisiana is a state I want to visit someday.
I always wanted to try that ice fishing out! Ole Sneaky Pete claims that if Bundicks ever freezes solid, that I will be the first person ice fishing in Louisiana. I guess he wants me to invite him to go when it's warm and not freezing! lol
