News Flash! If I bring taters again, they will already be cut up and frozen. Believe it or not, just recently got to where that finger don't bother me anymore. Guess the
nerve endings finally healed and less sensitive to bumps.

Something tells me alcohol was involved in this potato injury. I have a strict rule when cooking no beer till the knives are saved. No matter how the party is raging around ya . It aint hard to catch up once the work is done.

Just outa curiosoty how many of you wahoos go to toledo bend anyways. just a ball park figure. how many were there the last 2 years in a row????? When do most folks get there the friday night Saturday morning??? week in advance?? just curious. It's still too early to plan and I aint doing like last year saying I am coming and get stopped by a last minute thing. I will just say at this point we planning to be there.

Cappy....I do not know the exact count but I have been there the last two years and its a lot of folks. Most folks get there on thursday and leave on sunday....some do stay all week I think tho. The shindig....cooking and eating is on friday and saturday nights. Its a good time so you and Peg come on.

NOPE, no alcohol involved cutting up taters. Knives and guns don't mix with alcohol. Was almost finished peelin' and cuttin' up 10 lbs of taters and just looked up to
answer a question and the knife slipped. Missed the opening ceremony and blessing of the food, but managed to get back in time to have some great food and fellowship.
Worst thing I missed was the beard contest. Missed getting one of them fine crappie rods. Great gathering of Crappie.com folks and I didn't see one person have one too
many beers. I may have had two in two days which is about what I consume in a month if I have a pizza.

Yep....I can vouch for that ......only person that acted goofy was Danny and he is a natural at that with or without beer....what a hoot! lol
