Sycamore leaves are dropping regular now, every day. The trees I have are huge! Some with a diameter of 3-4 feet and up to 100' tall. Picked up a couple of dried leaves:

We have some that are much bigger that will come down before long. Had lightning strike one next to the house about 10 years ago. Blew out the windows upstairs, as well as knock all the pictures of the wall on that side of the house. Also blew all the bark off the tree. Killed it for sure. The insurance company paid for the windows blown out, computers fried, etc. But wouldn't pay for the tree to be cut down. I said "why? It's dead now". They said they would only if it fell on the house. Said okay, wrote a large check to have it taken down. Just felt better about that.

Got to keep those big leaves blown off and mulched. The copperheads, for some reason, like getting into them and hard to see.

Fact-O-Bake on the trim work today. A couple of coats and it bakes in for sure in this heat. Been meaning to do this for a while, been twenty years if not more. House has the classic wood siding on it. Wanted it to be classic Acadian style. Wrapped it in vinyl last year just because. Can't do brick or slab because I live on a hill. All windows have transom panels above them. Different, but I like:

Randy, I'm the kind of guy that makes guys like you look good. In this heat I would have been happy to look at the old paint and wait for cooler weather.

But then, if it was cooler weather I would just go fishing and put off the painting.

Okay time to fuss a little. Randy, turning pale means the heat was close to getting you. It takes years to recover from heat stroke. Pay somebody to do some of that. Why save all your pay for your kids to spend later. Or sooner if you keep over doing it in the heat. We know you enjoy the projects you take on, we enjoy the pix, but Anne won't enjoy them nearly as much without you. And who will put on the gathering. Okay I'm through.
