Thanks fellas, especially knowing a couple of you who replied are master craftsman. To some, it may look strange laying the red oak in the diagonal pattern, then into the next room another pattern, width, stain color, and dimension. I believe the paver brick threshold works nicely in this case. Of coarse I'm different in my thoughts , chicks tear it up, the way I roll.
Sunsets and sunrises sure are purdy for sure as some have posted on this forum, as well as myself. A full moon in a clear dark sky is purdy as well out here in the country:

Went to an AADE (American Association of Drilling Engineers) lunch meeting Monday, then to a SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) lunch meeting Tuesday. On both occasions, everyone stood, with their hand over their heart, and said The Pledge of Allegiance to the flag there before the meetings began.
Not a soul there would dare take a knee.
Just sayin.....
I needed Randy's truck and brute strength this morning. Took him on a 2 hour shopping expedition and got enough stuff to keep me busy for the weekend. Found the big Mexican planters that I've wanted for years at the flea market then went to Lowe's for dirt (400 lbs.) and plants. Stopped by Ranch Outlet and got hay and feed for the goats. Finished up the planters and have plenty of stuff left to work on flower beds tomorrow. :) Abby and Ernie were a big help today and wanted to show their work.

This is Randy's flea market adoption today. Poor little elf was battered, rusted, and covered in rust. Randy cleaned him up and we just need to give him a name. :) Elf's neck is a spring so the head bobbles. LOL

Pulled an old oak classroom desk out of a dumpster outside Madison Hall where I work at the university. Cleaned it up, repaired it, then refinished it today:

Unbelievable the amount of bubble gum I had to scrape off underneath. I need to stop fooling around here and get busy. Thought some of you fellas might like this.
