I took a few more pictures to end the week and put in the album and I thought I share these too.

One day we rented a 'toon and went riding and swimming at Crab Island which is a shallow sand bar set up to have fun on. It has a giant slide, a bunch of floating things to climb on and jump off of, somewhat like what you see on TV on "Wipe Out". The kids really enjoyed it and played around 3 hours on it. There were at least a hundred boats on that piece of water. There was a floating burger stand, a place to by bait and fishing stuff and a few more. There was even an ice cream boat making the rounds and a hot boiled peanuts boat.

If anyone is interested in going there I must say it a very nice set up. All the condo are basically made the same except the interiors are furnished in the owner's taste which is very varied. Although they somewhat look the same, because of the way they are set up and all the trees along the streets, the sameness goes away. The pool is very convenient as most of the condos face the pool which has a very shallow end for the little ones. The beach is less than a half mile away and there is a shuttle to call when you want to go there or back. A few blocks away is Bass Pro and a whole slew of stores for the ladies to shop in. The super market is just a little further and there is a Fresh Market closer than a mile. If you like the beach, shopping and many amusements for the kids and the adults this place is hard to beat. The number on this sign will get you to the office to make reservation but you must ask for the condo's in "The Village of Crystal Beach". The Flip Flop cottage is the one we stayed in.
