Funny you should mention that cause I was thinking the same thing the other day. The crappie were hitting real hard but not holding on. Not the normal nibble then a slow bow in the rod, but a hard thump like the WB. I never thought about why they were doing it but your logic makes perfect sense. Competition

Crat, It seemed like the crappie bite on Jordan slowed down big time last week, but I haven't been lately to see if it turned back on. Last Thursday afternoon was the worst trip I've had out there as far as catching fish goes. It looked like they turned on for the tournament on Saturday according to the reports. So maybe it's the weather that have the fish slowed down. They're biting on the eno pretty good, just not the big boys like you're used to.
