I have a follow up question. What size line are you using for the main line and what are you using below the swivel?

Cause: Here is the night fishing light I use. I also have a white one as a backup. As far as what to use. I use 4lb line all the time and one very small hook about a foot or so below a 1/8 pinch weight so the minnow can swim around. Set up in 30 feet of water off a point drop the hook all the way to the bottom and reel up one turn of the handle counting as you reel. When you get a bite repeat the same number of turns. Most of the time fishing right under the light is the best spot. But I will also move the minnow in and out of the dark area. Good luck

I use 6 lb line and a #2 hook tied to the end of line and a large split shot just above the hook for weight.

Cause take no offense from us, we really have a great group of guys and gals that fish together. I think any one will jump in and share a few ideas that they use. Alot of us have fished together for several years and I myself am glad to to call everyone friends. Hope you and your wife come and enjoy the comrodery and have a great time as we all do.
