I have a question concerning the carolina rig. Do you use some sort of floatation on it or is the bait on the bottom? Thanks

1/2 ounce to 3/4 egg sinker bead then swivel then tie bout 12in line to swivel and hook of choice.no float jus tight line over side of boat
so similar to the C&C minnow rig, just without the top hook. Are you using minnows or jigs? If minnow, what size?
My opinion on your light rig. is fish one or the other color. If I read it right your fishing too many variations in color. That being said Hound is telling you the way most of us fish. We all have pretty much the same lighting but different approaches and aplcations. Now what works for me is I follow mac crappie and stay about 100 foot from him in any direction and you can catch fish lol. Sorry Mac had to throw a punch.

I agree with everyone on one color. A simple white light is all you need but everyone has their own type of light.
ok i am trying to take it all in and process it.
My fishing light was made with the one in this link as the guide.

The first time we used it we had large school of bait swimming around it, but we had bugs out the backside. We covered the white portions with yellow tape. far less bugs, but also have not seen the large bait schools like first time we used it. was considering taking the yellow back off.
does anyone have a picture of the light set up that you guys are using?
I am trying to convince my wife to come to the Tillery nightstalk, to get some ideas and advice.
That's what I wld do u can learn a lot talking to the guys at the night stalks.see setups on different style boats and see what may work for urs.
