matt, after getting interested in these lights as well, I saw a video on you tube how to make them. The lights are wrapped around a smaller piece of pvc pipe inside the clear pvc tube.

Fishing Brother, are you saying that your lights don't have the clear tubing outside of the them? I looked back at your photo and don't see one. That means your led strip wrapped around the 1" pvc goes directly in the water? I know they advertise that they are waterproof, but your putting them to the test.

No they are sealed but its not pvc. Its the clear tubes that go over the lights in paint shops its paper thin but tough but not pvc. Guess I need to have a class on how I make them.

yea, I didn't think it was clear PVC. I figured it was some type of tubing. I did see one guy that had some that were fairly thick. Thanks!

You can buy thicker clear pipe. But it is costly. The one's they are using are cheap and work as good.
