My Grandparent's farm was under Jordan lake, so I have been fishing and swimming in that water since before it became a lake. I have yet to hear of an algae bloom. In a meeting with the NC Wildlife biologists on the shore of Jordan lake last Spring, they specifically stated the nitrogen make-up of the lake was perfect to support a large shad population, thus able to support a large crappie population.
Back to the cormorants--current Alamance Rep. Dennis Riddell is setting up a meeting for the two of us and the Wildlife legislative liaison to meet soon. We're trying to work out a date. The Wildlife has already called me as word got out quickly in the Administrative offices. Since Rep. Riddell is from Snow Camp, you guys probably are neighbors.

I would like to attend that meeting!

No matter which administration it is, fact is, they have found it is easier to fix things that aren't broken than to fix ones that truly are.
How about a new coalition - Occupy Jordan!
