Thread: catfish report

Haven't posted much since I haven't had a crappie rod in the water since about march, but still been fishing. The trophy blue fishing this summer was tough, but caught some good fish from late spring into early summer and then it got really tough to find them. I've been after flatheads for the last couple months and they been biting great. I've averaged about a dozen in a 5 hour trip with a 20 lb. average and have caught a few just over 40 lb. I've caught about 150 flatheads since the beginning of august. fished a tournament at high rock sat. night and ended up winning 1st place and big fish of the tournament. Looking to get an ipilot in the next couple weeks and plan on going back to crappie fishing some when it gets cold out. I think they taste the best caught out of cold water, might just be me, but they sure seem to taste better. Does anybody have any connections with where to get ipilots at a good price? I'm looking at a 55 lb thrust with us2 preferabaly a pd v2. I dont't think I need to get a terrova for what I'll be doing.
