I got mine disconnected last year on a 99 model and it may never pay off but it sure gives me peace of mind to know I do not have to depend on it. I have heard the horror stories and realize that things just don't work forever so I started running ethanol free gas and mixing my own. Now all I have to do is find the fish

ok I know where this question should be put. I have a oil pump no my 2008 2 Stroke 50 HP Mercury. How much trouble is it to remove the pump and just add oil to the gas? Is it simple enough anyone can do it or would you advise having a shop do it.

I heard thst the VRO mixes at 100-1 @ idle and 50-1 under more throttle. Just shift to N and raise the rmps to clear the excess oil oit of the cyl's.

Yes it does. Only issue is the fact that you don't really know it's loading up till its started running crappy then it doesn't like to even take off.
