    Default Co-Pilot vs. I-Pilot


    Thinking of getting a new trolling motor. I have read a little about the I-Pilot and it sounds good. Also talked with a fellow crappie fisherman that preferred the Co-Pilot. Just looking for some input from fishermen. Any and all help appreciated.

    I have the I-Pilot and love it. I can set it and forget it. Cruise control works well in slight wind as does the anchor lock. I have never recorded a track but it's nice knowing I can. 20 different speed settings and it shows your speed. It's worth the extra money IMO.

    Just get him on, then we'll worry about getting him in!

    I had a co-pilot and liked it, It did everything they said it would with no problems. my I-pilot is just as good, I use the anchor lock the most, with a light wind the motor seem to run constantly, with no wind it's good. If I were to buy a unit today I would go back to the co-pilot. just my 2 cent.

    I-pilot is the way to go. Set it and start fishing . I am able to fish with my daughter now and not have to worry about where the boat is going. I wish I would have bought it sooner!!!

    I have used both and love them both. Now have the I-pilot though and to me it was definitely worth the extra $$. It doesn't control the boat as well as I did constantly on the remote, but now I'm not constantly on the remote, and I can take over whenever I need to quickly.

    Ipilot all the way. Copilot is just a hand held foot pedal. Like Mike said set it and forget it. Your fishing not driving.

    I have never used the I-Pilot so I can't say. I have had my co-pilot for 7 years and I really like it. I fish I standing timber lots of times so I have to be on the remote anyway. I am on my second remote and many batteries and my co-pilot is my friend.

    I pilot. You can learn your remote to someone else's boat and mess with them. If they get close to you you can send them to the bank full speed. Hahahaha.
