I went to Kerr Scott Yesterday 5/9. the wind was high in the morning, but could get into coves and cut it way down. Water temp was 68* and we marked a ton of fish 20' deep around cover. I have a couple questions for you guys. #1, i read were alot of you guys use a double jig set up for longline trolling. Do you just tie the high jig onto the line and then another at the end? About how far apart? 18"? and #2 If the fish are deep, and i want to troll deep, whats the best way to do so? Still longline and use a heavier jig and slow down? But i assume you want to keep your normal speed, so........? Or do you titeline at that point and use your normal longline speed? I dunno......I used a single 1/4oz jig as an expierement yesterday while longlinin, and best i could tell, at the speed that I usually catch them, that jig was only runnin about 7 feet (thats where i was bumpin bottom). So what say ye fellas? any advise? This is my first year trolling, and have learned alot, but need more. Thanks.... oh......and all we caught were a couple of short spotted bass and some blue gill (1/8th oz jig, blue/black/chart curly)
