they may cull I do not know, never fished the Crappie Masters Tournaments, or been on the water when they are fishing one,,,, but I heard that some of them cull, but most if not all keep up to 7 big ones and the ones they think will not weigh up are left in the live well and donated to a hungry fisherman, or cleaned and eaten.... don't really know, like I said never fished the tournament trail,,,, but I bet the ones that do are pretty honest fishermen/women/kids
