The MGPT system is vinyl covered, won't absorb moisture like canvas. The canvas tent will absorb moisture and must be set up and allowed to completely dry before storing or it will mold/mildew and eventually rot.
I personally don't care what the thing looks like, just like being inside and dry if it is raining. It's not home.
Having a set up demo is pretty much a given, and the idea of a video is a great idea. Nothing quite like getting 3/4 done and someone says "Dang, I think this should have been put there before all these things went on".
I also will go with the majority on this decision. We need to GitRDone.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.dfar LIKED above post

The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
I think the Big T tent is also vinyl material. All of the tents I researched are to be completely dry before storing.
It does not make any difference to me which one we select. The more festive colors might be more eye appealing.
Has anyone called and talked to Big T? I have not actually talked to Big T.was just going off of previous posted info.
Also has anyone contacted the Camp Grounds for permission, lot rental, etc.?
Thanks to all that have replied. Your input is much appreciated.
I am going to vote for the Big T party tent. After thinking about it overnight the "Image" mentioned earlier is important.

I am ex-military myself and do not in any way mean any disrespect of fellow service men & women.
the way the wind blows down there if ya have no sides just as well not have a tent if it ain't rainin ya can roll the sides up for a little light prolly or get a string of lights for it??
A couple years ago a tent with sides would have been great . Cold and snowy
May all your live wells be full.Dave
I think we could use my side walls from my canopy to cover one side if needed for wind and could always use a large tarp if needed. Mine is 40 ft long. I'm sure we can pass the hat and easily raise enough to buy the heavier side walls for it before fall camp. Greenwing do you mind calling them again and see what it would cost is for the tent with out sides and them setting it up for us? It we can come close to the $1500 we already have I think it makes since to have them bring it and show us how to set it up the first time.

Could have used it for my boat that camp
Dexter sure could have used it after that snow storm. Nothing like having to cut your way out of a tent during a blizzard.
