Storms/hail YIKES

Hope everyone is OK after yesterdays storms. I know they weren't everywhere. They had grapefruit size hail along I44 between Sullivan and Stanton yesterday. Broke out a lot of car windows. We had small hail for a while yesterday. But lots of rain. Gonna screw up local fishing for a while. Suppose to have another round this afternoon before it is done.

my wife's sister lives just west of Stanton, she has a lot of damage to her house and shed. hail stones went all the way through the roof of her shed. little sky lights everywhere! luckily there is not much in there that a little rain would hurt. but her siding, roof and gutters are ruined. I guess it could have been worse, at least they still have a house. we have been writing a lot of estimates on cars from down that way. the hail was big enough to break car windows and break plastic bumpers, headlights and tail lights. so much damage, most of the cars we have seen were totaled out. bad deal for some.

hail that size would destroy about everything. We have metal roofing on buildings and house. It sure does make a noise hitting it. Hope we don't get it again this afternoon.
