lousy deer hunter

I have been bowhunting some archery only areas . Took a doe allready for the freezer , so I have been holding out for a mature buck . I saw several last week , but they were on the trail of a hot doe . Watched one giant bedded down in a bean field with a doe for over an hour last Monday . He would get up and chase off younger bucks ,then bed down again . I watched the show from 125 yards away , and tried every call I had to coax him in , but he wasn't interested . Sure was an exciting hunt though . Thats what hunting is all about for me though , I don't have to kill something to have an enjoyable hunt .

Saturday was pretty good I got a 8 pointer and wife got a 6 pointer nothing big but meat in freezer

Took another doe with my bow in an archery management hunt Friday . Not seeing many mature bucks lately . Lock down ?

Shuda whuda cuda had 5 doe come in while looking for horns they spotted me and puft they wher gone. Had that lead doe in my scope shuda took her. Oh well just finished getting yesterday in the freezer so looking forward to tomarrow.

seen 8 yesterday, all in the no shooting zone. time to get the smoke stick out.

Opening Day - Bolivar Liberator football play-off game, youngest son playing. Sunday - saw 2 small bucks and helped son with his deer. Monday - little wind, deer were everywhere, saw 25 or so, 4 legal bucks and watched 2 young 8 pointers spar for 3 or 4 minutes. Tuesday & Wednesday - honey-do's. Thursday - 8 does & fawns, 2 small 8 pointers and a dandy, no shot. Friday - 4 does, 2 small bucks and helped another son with his 9 pointer. Saturday - 4 does, same small 8 pointer I'd seen at least 3 or 4 times and big 6 pointer, barely missed a pair of fawns with my truck. Sunday - son took my stand and I shot 13 pointer running 3 does on the ridge behind my stand.

One more doe tues. pm. nothing with enough horns came by all season. Maybe the front stuffer will get one congrats all.
