1 shot running, it had one spike over 3 so I wasted my buck tag. O well always next year and I got some meat. Just miserable conditions.

Been rough weather for sure. Seen one 10 that we have pics of but he is only 3. Tall but no width or mass he got a free pass. Tons of squirrels. Just nice to be outdoors I guess
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

None for us so far. Hard to remember an opening weekend when we weren't eating deer meat on Saturday night.

This is 2 years in a row with miserable winds! Hard opener for me. Gave it up today and went and braved the winds on the water. It ended up being a good call. At least I got some crappie in the freezer!

Day two sitting in my stand thinking of the golden estrus girl on the camera next to me, letting all these 3-4 year old deer saunter by gentle breeze has the tree rocking me to sleep. Back to real world wondering if the tree I put this stand in is going to fall over, have not seen a deer since this am, o dark thirty wanting to put a dent in my almost new truck. Did not see anything. Had a good day though.

seen a doe today, brush too thick for a good shot. all I seen. had a tree top break off bout 100 ft from my stand, and come crashing down. that'll wake ya up. hey, Richard, you mentioned your tree gently rocking you to sleep, well I couldn't catch a wink because my tree kept trying to buck me off my stand!

Out yesterday morning, last night, and this morning. Didn't even bother with this afternoon! My first time out hunting as a 38 year old - looking forward to doing it much more often. Need to find some places to go that have more deer around
