Got new trailer
Took axle back that wouldn't fit. came home and called Eberlin's in Herman. They had a trailer. Had to take another boat off but had what we needed. An hour later I was there. REALLY nice trailer. It will hold a bigger boat if we ever need a different one. The sides adjust to fit. I new I had done good when husband drove into driveway and started smiling. Next challenge was transfering boat. The new trailer is taller than the old 1. Put bad axle and tires back on old trailer. Got the jackstands away from under the back of trailer. Hooked 1 truck up to trailer so it wouldn't move. Took other truck and back it up to back of boat. Hooked rope up to back of boat and had to pull boat back about a ways so we could put board under boat and jack it up off of trailer. Got back of boat jacked up and resting on board with jackstands under it. Next front of boat. Got towing strap around barn rafter and jacked front end up way high to tie it up to rafter and allow for stretch in strap. Finally got it off of trailer. Husband slowly pulled old trailer out. He got new trailer and slowly hand pushed it under boat. Had to tilt trailer to get it under boat and then carefully winch it up on trailer while pushing trailer under by hand. By hand was the only way to do this since it wasn't up high enough to totally clear everything. But we were successful. We feel good about getting the new trailer. If this 1 last 27 years like the other one it will the last trailer we will need.

sounds like your back in business! now do yourselves a favor and pack and retighten the bearings so this doesnt happen again! I bought my boat brand new at eberlins and within 3 months of new I was replacing the inner bearings, so it can happen fast! wasnt eberlin's fault, the manufacturer's use the cheapest stuff they can find, these days. also be sure to get marine grade grease, it stands up to water way better than normal grease..

Thanks. We always use marine grade grease. It goes in bearings and jet.
