ya I had a feeling they were gonna shut the gates down because the 'sippi is really on the rise again. from alton north, she's going back into severe flood stage and will be on the rise through the weekend, by the looks of the forecast. I'm willing to bet the corp won't be dumping enough water to be draining the lake. I think the rise will be short lived but I expect that they maintain the lake levels until the 'sippi starts to recede. there might be some floaters around but it should help the fishing some. might even get a little better spawn kicked into gear over the next few days!

South point I have a few skippies left in the freezer think it is worth bringing them up. And if there is anything you can think of catfish wise to bring let me know please.

If y'all got room for some Johnny come lately's... I just confirmed I'll be off this weekend, so Louise and I would like to drop by and say hey.
We'll be staying in our travel trailer at Big Larry's Campground. What can we bring, we don't want to come empty handed.
Oh, and don't count on us for any valuable fish catching secrets....we ain't figured it out yet!!!!

you can bring those skippies along in case shad are hard to find, there is always bad bait days! hopefully the shad are still in the coves and easy to catch, though. cant think of any extras we would need, maybe a good luck charm or two! damn, look at the time, I gotta go pack the car up!

Well the first two days of camp have been wet and windy, the fishing slow. We have not made it around to all the camp sites yet other than to South Points and catmans. Hopefully the weather will get better for tomorrow and we won't have to hide from the storms. Will try and get a few pictures up tomorrow morning of the lake it's high and only getting higher.
