I guess the rarely comment needs a disclaimer. #1 rule in sales/service, a dissatisfied client tells 10, a satisfied client tells one. So, that might be why I've heard more negative comments on guided trips. Also, I have never ever ever heard anything but good about anyone guiding out of bucksaw.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

I have taken 3 guided trips for fishing. 2 were good but one of these trips, we had hired 2 boats to troll shad for some striper fishing. just our luck, it was a cold, windy day. the guide on our boat was great, even though we didn't catch any fish. he tried hard for us and was very entertaining and taught us a lot about the lake we were on. the guide on the other boat was complaining of a hangover right from the start. one of my friends offered him a sandwich and coffee, which he took. at one point the guide asked for a beer. and later in the morning he said, " I got the I-pilot set to run this bluff, wake me if we get a bite" and then he kicked back and closed his eyes for awhile!!! LOL!!! Wow, what a pro!!!

Richard at Bucksaw is a very good guide. If you want to save some money I am sure there are some guys on here that would get out with you. Truman in the winter can be very good for numbers.
