that report came from BBC, if you had of read, researched, and got information on the guides from the CDC boards, by state bet it would have turned out better,,, anyway I ain't no guide, never hired a guide, but i hear more good than bad reports from mo. miss, ar,ok,and so many more on here,,,stick with CDC recomendations, bet you wont go wrong, by the way congrats on the limits on LOZ, hate them long dry trips......
I guess the rarely comment needs a disclaimer. #1 rule in sales/service, a dissatisfied client tells 10, a satisfied client tells one. So, that might be why I've heard more negative comments on guided trips. Also, I have never ever ever heard anything but good about anyone guiding out of bucksaw.
I have taken 3 guided trips for fishing. 2 were good but one of these trips, we had hired 2 boats to troll shad for some striper fishing. just our luck, it was a cold, windy day. the guide on our boat was great, even though we didn't catch any fish. he tried hard for us and was very entertaining and taught us a lot about the lake we were on. the guide on the other boat was complaining of a hangover right from the start. one of my friends offered him a sandwich and coffee, which he took. at one point the guide asked for a beer.:Rofl and later in the morning he said, " I got the I-pilot set to run this bluff, wake me if we get a bite" and then he kicked back and closed his eyes for awhile!!! LOL!!! Wow, what a pro!!!
That sounds a lot like our trip south point!!!
The guy at bucksaw is a good guide? I was wanting to do a trip on Truman this winter also. This time of year is the BEST!
Richard at Bucksaw is a very good guide. If you want to save some money I am sure there are some guys on here that would get out with you. Truman in the winter can be very good for numbers.
I'll pay when I don't have the equipment. Like Offshore fishin'.
Bad service needs to be reported, I think!
