salted shells? back long ago we were killing lots of ducks and needed to go out and get something to eat cause the flight was on and we needed to be on the river. one man told me to bring him back a box of shells. i sat at a table and emptied the shot out of nearly all the shells in that box and replaced it with salt and closed the crimp back up. he could not figure out why he wasn't hitting the ducks that afternoon. we never told him.
