This is a good example of a young pup picking on an old dog....this old dog will accept the challenge!!! Now all we need is several pounds of shrooms (for me, anyway!)

Decided to take a trip north today up near Harrison County Lake, no fishing poles though. This is a picture one hour into the picking!

Sad part is that we left as many as we picked because they were to old

Forgot to mention hunted about 5 more hours and only found 1/2 sack more. It was a great day, it really was not hunting, all of those came off of an old terrace about 100 yds long. It really was picking and not hunting.

That is a pretty dang good day of picking for sure. I had a good mess the other night I fried up for the family. Traded some crappie fillets for some. Pretty good trade for a guy who does not eat fish.

Nice mess of shrooms there! It's always fun to come across a batch like that. Congrats!

Well got up 4 am headed for Nebraska gotta be some goodun's up there? Well not much, found 3, no not gallons or pounds just three mushrooms. Decided to head for an old honey hole in the middle of Iowa, got there about 4 pm, hit three of the hot spots found 5, yes mushrooms. So summary for the day, 17 hours, 600, miles, 8 mushrooms. Don't even ask for a price per poundbanghead
I recon it is over unless you are headed for Wisconsin, Minnesota, or you just happen to find that one special tree!
