Mushroom report thread!

I'm thinking I might just have to go look for some. I have never looked for them but I do love to eat them.

I went lookin' a couple times last year to no avail. Course, word on the street was it was a tough year....not enough moisture. But I know some people did real well. I've never found one in my life. Never eaten one either. But someday. Oh yes.....someday.

I found my first two of the year .. little tiny guys, just barely peeking up, but it should get good in the next few days. (KC area)

I can't believe a good Kearney boy like yourself has never found or eaten a morel. My Grandad lived in Kearney and used to take me all around there when I was a kid. Of course, those spots are all houses now, but still.

Someone told me one time that you did the same thing on the water! I was told that you would walk right over a hot crappie spot!

Joe is a transplanted "Cheesehead" and hasn't had time to truly absorb all the Missouri goodness that includes a nose for morels instead of cheese!!

check out morels.com they have a MO forum board and they have been finding em. I can never find em maybe a handful a year.
