I have used one, for about 10 minutes. The elderly lady across the road got it drug out of the barn but couldn't get it started so she asked for some help. In my opinion, it worked really well for getting under the bushes etc. I didn't really use it other than that... Just my 2 cents worth though! Have you tried calling around to the small engine shops in your area? I know some of the shops around my area take trade ins or have some used stuff that the customer didn't pay for or didn't want. We have an internet provider in our area, and I'm sure many surrounding areas, that offers free classified ads to members. Here is an ad for one...what do you think about this trimmer.
