Default Anyone Have One Of These?

Folks, I am trying to find a used DR (brand), trimmer mower. They were also sold under different brand names like Craftsman, etc.
These things have two large rear wheels (like the high wheel mowers), and a "nose on the front where the heavy cord that cuts
the weeds and such is located.
Most have a 5.5 to 8 hp motor on them & some are self propelled.
If anyone comes across one for sale that looks like it is in good shape, I'd appreciate a call, or PM, or email about it please.

This is what they look like in general:

Yepper!! I have seen them with the Craftsman name,Troybuilt, (as you say), and 3 or 4 other names!
I have been looking for a used one in good shape for a while now. One day, I might get "lucky" &
    find one.
How do you like yours? I have looked at the new ones and there is just something that keeps telling
me to look for a used one. Now a self propelled on would be the ultimate find!!

I really don't trust either one of them. Most of the items, especially onCraigslist are misrepresented and over priced for the condition
    of the item.
I appreciate the thought though.... thanks!

I have used one, for about 10 minutes. The elderly lady across the road got it drug out of the barn but couldn't get it started so she asked for some help. In my opinion, it worked really well for getting under the bushes etc. I didn't really use it other than that... Just my 2 cents worth though! Have you tried calling around to the small engine shops in your area? I know some of the shops around my area take trade ins or have some used stuff that the customer didn't pay for or didn't want. We have an internet provider in our area, and I'm sure many surrounding areas, that offers free classified ads to members. Here is an ad for one...what do you think about this trimmer. I think I'd be a bit scared to use this thing!!! Viewing Photo Posting Click on the previous "viewing photo posting" link and it will take you to it...

Wow, another horror story about craigslist. I knock on wood have had good luck with both ebay and CL buying and selling. There was a few things that could have been better on CL, but its buyer beware.
