    Default Warning!

If any of you boys see Rudolph out in the woods please don't shoot him! Granted he is kind of a lush and a womanizer but I need him because of the foggy areas around the lake areas. Anyone who shoots him will sure be getting a lump of coal in their stocking!

Hey anything in the 150 class down around Lake Pomme de Terre is considered a good score. Were you hunting up around Holden? I know there used to be several large deer up there in that area!

Very nice day and evening for you Lenny. Pretty hard to top off fishing with friends and then a Pope and Young size deer before dark. Congrats. DMW not for sure what to even say. Glad I do not hunt. Sure hate to shot the wrong deer and be in your bad list. Sure hope the fireworks and Christmas tree sales are good down there this year.

Just south of there, got 100 acres that we have manged the best we can for the past 10 years. Don't get something like this every year but if you don't let the smallers on go, you won't ever see one like him

You have to have a good mix of does and smaller deer with a good supply of food and water. Right now at the farms the deer are all watering out of our ponds because we are lucky we have water. Some of the neighbors ponds are dry! And most of the neighbors timber has been eatten out by cows. Dad always saves our timber for fall pasture. I can remember almost hitting several deer when I used to drive thru that area all the time on hwy 131.
