All this heat is making me wish I was back in SD again, and this winter it was pretty cold here and I was thinking I might as well be up Nort anyway!!!

    Default The River

is finally going down and the crappies are returning to thier summer haunts. I been looking forward to "dippen" the deep timber for slabs all of july. So high a water and fast current could not put a jig down till now. Many thanks to my Mo friends for tips on dippen. Used crappie nibblets on a 1/16 oz jig and a minnow on the other pole. Been catching all different kinds of fish (10 inch perch, nice bluegills, Drum, Bass, and Walleye. Nothing stirs me more than having them big slab crappies thumping my line and rolling in to my net. Life is good on The Mississippi. Don't forget you boy's are always velcome to come visit your "UP NORT" adopted couisins. P.S. Remember to bring a warm coat and long johns HA HA!
