    Default Cell phone provider question

Considering changing providers and wondering who has good cell reception in the Clinton/Bucksaw/Warsaw area and which carrier you use/recommend?

Also who has good service around Mark Twain and Paris, MO and which carrier do you use? Trying to come up with something that works in both areas and is reliable.

    Thanks!

Anybody EXCEPT AT&T! They had good coverage in the Cities and along the interstates, but lousy to none out in the sticks. They let us out of our contract due to no coverage when we moved to Galena, so we went with Alltell and have been happy so far, although I have heard a few people gripe since Verizon merged with them
Had a very unpleasant experience with Sprint a few years back, but have heard they are getting better at customer service trying to stem a huge loss of customers defecting to other carriers.

Thanks for the info. This is the kind of info I need before I jump out of the frying pan into the fire! Thanks again!

Buba down the road says he likes them crank telephones the best, he says it calls them fish right up. Seriously we have AT&T which picks up most places down here in the sticks, but we have several dead spots.

Words of wisdom for sure, sir. If I had a string, I'd tie it around your neck right now, though.

I need to be able to check on my parents if I'm out of town and I used to have decent Verizon coverage at the camper and the last few times it won't even work if I go stand out by the highway (which used to work). Have to wait till I'm on the water (in certain areas only). Mr. CN took someone fishing who had great service all the way from the sticks to Bucksaw and on the water. BUT, he can't remember who it was!!!! Or I could ask them!

I've heard of folks "calling up" catfish back in the olden days. Thanks for the info, Bigby!

I'll ask a couple of my ham radio buddies that do storm chasing and find out who they use. You can bet they need the best coverage they can get!
They have been trying to talk me into riding along on the next tornado that comes along, but I think I'll pass:o
