I do stuff like that all the time....everybody told me that it would get worse. The heck of it is....they were right.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

And just how many days is the weatherman really correct? Sorry fuzzy! I always roll my windows up and lock my pickup. I guess its just habit from living in the city where everyone wants to steal something instead of working.

I'd laugh at you for your guffaux....... but I did basically the same thing a couple of months ago. Left the truck parked outside for a change, and forgot to close the sunroof. And it was on a night ALL heck broke loose - serious thunderstorms. When my daughter and I went out to go to school/work, I had cupholders and leather seats full of water, and my big plastic floormats looked like kiddy pools.

    Lesson learned.

I had that happen one time...years ago. The seat was soaked, of course, and everything around it. But the entire floor of the car was 2" deep!!

    Not too bad.
Start worrying if you go through the car wash with the windows down.

Well, I'm already having those moments once in a while.
But I can make the weather man wrong! This winter I would put a tarp over the back of my truck when the forecast was for snow and every time there was no snow!!!
I was glad we didn't get the snow but it was frustrating putting a tarp over with 40 mph wind for no reason.
