After working in the lawn and gardening field for ten years I can tell you there is nothing that any hardware, garden, or farm store sales that will kill moles or even keep them out of your yard. I have joked with poeple about the beagle trick since a have a couple, I know they work. I now rent my beagles out for a good fee, and people love it. I get paid to take my dogs to their yard and walk around, I get paid trip fee plus per mole fee, it's great.

This spring I bought 2 more traps. So far I have gotten 4 moles at our house. 2 of them had to be the dumbest moles around. The first 1 I was setting the trap and had just gotten it set when a big ole night crawler came out of the ground by the trap. I was stil lstanding by the trap. All of a sudden the dirt in the run started moving and it was headed straight for the trap. I thought this was just to easy. I decided that if when he got under the middle of the trap and it didn't trip I would just reach over and trip it. But the mole tripped it himself. And wham I got him. Got the hoe and finished the job. I reset the trap in another spot but didn't get anything that night. The next morning I moved the trap to a fresh dig and while I was setting the trap the mole started working right next to the prongs on the trap. So I gently left the prongs back down on the ground and waited until he was under the trap and then pushed down with all my might and the help of my shoe and wham got another one. Got the hoe and dispatched him. After I mow my mom's grass I will take another trap to her house and start trying to get the couple that are in her yard. The mole wars are on.
my neighbors female fiest has started to come in my yard and do mole duty for me.....i have since put a scrap bowl on my porch to keep her over here.....

So far I have gotten 6 moles. 5 in our yard and 1 in my moms. The moles in our yard are stupid they are easy to get. My moms yard is a different story. Those are educated. They are hard to trap but I am persistent. I will prevail. I will trap them little buggers and feel good about doing it.
