Checklist for getting my old boat out for the first time:
1. Battery charged = check
2. New gas = check
3. Spark = check
4. Cleaned boat = check
5. Reels cleaned and oiled = check
6. Tires inflated = check
7. Lower Unit Oil = check
8. Lights work = check
9. Trolling motor working = check
10. Tackle box = check
11. Sonar working = check
12. Plug = check
13. Papers and fishing license = check
14. Trailer bearing greased = check
15. Life jackets and throw cushion = check

Forgetting to put the cotter pin back in the prop = priceless (and cold)!

dang the bad luck. i'd also add to check water impeller and throw in a net. might need a double check list too :-)
